We currently support many of our clients remotely. The facility gives us the ability to remotely support clients, regardless of computer operating system, static IP addresses, firewall issues or anything else which may cause problems with remote access to computers for support purposes. It works for laptops, even when you're not in the office. The software is hosted at the data centre, so is available to us regardless of where we are. It makes our support job a lot easier, and a lot more flexible, which reduces the need for callouts and potentially, therefore, reduces your costs.
The service costs £5 plus VAT per computer per year. The charge that we make for the service is to contribute to our software, hardware and running costs in providing the service. This charge is made annually, and appears on your invoice as "Simple Gateway Remote Support". Any work that we do for you remotely is charged at our normal rate, in 15 minute units, as required, with a minimum charge of £20 plus VAT.
